If you are appearing for the RCPsych CASC exams in 2025 and would like to prepare yourself for the CASC exam in Sheffield, you have reached the right place.
Oxfordpsych Mock CASC Exams are taking place in person in the English Institue of Sport (EIS) in Sheffield, the same venue as the real CASC exam. The Oxfordpsych CASC Mock Exam now includes both a short instruction circuit and a long instruction circuit and takes place over a half day, morning or afternoon. Each circuit contains 8 stations with either 90 seconds reading time (short instructions ciruit) or four minute reading time (long instructions circuit) with a mix of history taking, assessment and management stations across the range of specialities, in line with the RCPsych CASC blueprint. You will be interviewing professional CASC actors with previous CASC experience and receive feedback from examiners with extensive CASC experience and will also receive written feedback focusing on your skills, competencies and domains assessed in the RCPsych CASC exam. The Oxfordpsych Mock CASC Exams in either format would provide an opportunity to practice stations under strict exam conditions and in person to have seen the venue and the booths and know what you will be facing in the real exam.
You will find the Oxfordpsych CASC Mock Exams very helpful in reducing anxiety, fine tuning revision and building stamina to prepare you for the real exams.

By the end of the Oxforpsych CASC Mock Exam, you will be able to:
1. Reflect on how you performed across all stations, looking for patterns of areas to improve from the written feedback.
2. Consider the effect of sustained concentration on you own focus and attention, and your ability to adapt to the requirements of each station, including the ability to remain resilient when things don't go as expected.
3. Identify areas for further revision, based on the content of scenarios and feedback received.
4. Appraise how much anxiety influences your own performance and to reflect on positive strategies to minimise any negative effect.
5. Compare the CASC experience to that of clinical practice, and focus on demonstrating the skills and competencies of the everyday work environment in a confident and senior manner.
"I found the Mock CASC Exam really useful - it helped reduce my anxiety and have an idea of what to expect. I passed the same number of stations as in the real exam, so I think it is a good reflection of the real thing. I would recommend the Mock to everyone." Sheffield Mock participant
